Chris FitzSimmons is a Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine previously working in Sheffield.

He qualified in 1993 and retired in 2026 with over 32 years experience of working in multiple specialities and more than 27 years experience in Emergency Medicine. He worked exclusively in

Paediatric Emergency Medicine for the last 22 years of his career.

He was the Lead Clinician of one of only 5 stand-alone Paediatric Emergency Departments in England

from 2004-2008. He has led on the clinical development of the hospital's

Major Trauma Centre from 2011-2018. 

Chris has been preparing clinical negligence reports for over 11 year and has produced 

over 130 reports to date.

He has the expertise to comment upon all aspects of patient management relevant to the

Paediatric Emergency Department.
